We noticed this arrow in the middle of the cross walk we use to get to our car a block away (parking in Rexburg is stupid... ask if you want more clarification). its always amused me that its there, and i've often wondered why.
when we came to check on our poor tomato plant (basically all thats left of the garden except for some brocoli.), i was happily surprised to see even more tomatoes and some even starting to turn yellow/orange. it was an exciting time.
I had dinner and went to the Relief Society broadcast tonight with my visiting teacher. We had a great time. they served amazing refreshments after the broadcast, but because i was still full from the dinner we had, I brought it home to share. the Redvines were brought especially because drew loves them so much.
I'm sorry about the bar in the way, i didn't realize it was there until just now. this is taken from our "fire escape" that doesn't lead to anywhere except for two stories above the ground. i guess a broken ankle is better than being burned?
So I recently found an emulator that lets me play a Nintendo game on my computer (zelda: a link to the past, to be specific). when I first started, i was telling drew that it was taking some getting used to. He surprised me by getting this for me. :) it has been fun to use.
when i woke up this morning and could barely walk, drew made me promise to stay off my foot all day, to let it heal. although it was hard, and i did absolutely nothing productive all day (i read, played a computer game, and watched some star trek), it did seem to help, and it has been feeling better all evening.
We decided to spend our labour day going caving. it was a lot of fun. we saw some cool geology, and overall had an enjoyable time (until i fell and messed up my ankle. but don't worry, i walked out on it)
when we went to the store yesterday, we found some of these on sale for a good deal. we had never tried them, so we got a few and took them home. a combination apricot plum. first off, the name is impossible, and should be changed to soemthing that tells you more what it is (we decided we like the name Aprilum). second, we decided they taste much better cold. they have the texture of a plum, but taste a lot like an apricot (or, some of them were a bit more plumy than others)
overall, pretty good. i would get them again (and might if they are still on sale :) )
