I've been sick the last few days (read here stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, slight fever that comes and goes and exhaustion), so I've had the humidifier going almost non-stop. it seems to have been generally helping, which is so nice.
In one last effort to do some de-cluttering, we cleaned out a closet that was about to avalanche out any time we opened the door. We took out the swing, J must have recognized it, and immediately climbed in. He took some time playing with the switches, and figured out how to turn it, and the music it can play, on. and didn't want to leave it most of the night. :) it was adorable, and made me realize just how big he's getting.
One of the things that Mom Baker and Shannon dropped off to us was this great keyboard. I've been wanting something to be able to practice for church, in case I forget until midnight. This will work great for those instances, and maybe I'll be able to take up tinkering around learning new songs again. Won't that be fun?
I took Mom Baker and Shannon around campus today. We went to the jungle room (it was actually unlocked!) and J LOVED the fishes in there. We later walked by the air hocky tables, and they had fun playing a few games :)
For a long long time, I've wanted a cowboy hat. My mom and sister-in-law came into town today, and we went to the new CalRanch location. There was actually room for people inside (and chicks, they had baby chicks of all kinds there. We need to go back when they get bunnies and get a picture of J with the chicks and bunnies)! One of the displays I saw was the cowboy hats. I had to try one on, just for kicks.
Ever since being pregnant, and having to adjust the webbing on my sandals way out of wack, they haven't wanted to stay adjusted how I like them, and keep getting super tight around my toes. I sent them off today for some much needed love and attention, (free of charge under the warranty on the shoes!). I was a bit sad about it, not being able to wear them for a couple weeks.
Drew has been working a lot on a rebuilding a computer project. so here he is surrounded with a desktop (that he's been fixing), with a keyboard on top. a monitor for that keyboard, his laptop looking up questions for the desktop he's been fixing, and another keyboard for his main desktop, watching a show ;)
J has been having a hard time eating or drinking anything since he was throwing up almost all night Monday and a good deal of Tuesday morning. We were at the DI, and got him a nice new water bottle to try and encourage more drinking, and less dehydrating. it seems to have worked pretty well so far.
We recently picked up a carpet cleaner at the DI, and so Drew didn't want to get more Woolite. however, the carpet cleaner doesn't work, and we needed the Woolite. I'm glad we had gotten some anyhow, just in case.
So..... you do what exactly? Are you an Orental kitchen that specialized is viking books? Are you a viking kitchen that sells oriental books? Do you make the books into food? Are you a kitchen for oriental book vikings?
We went to a wedding ceremony thing for a friend of the family, and it happened to be a wear your best costume event. J enjoyed the grapes, a LOT and Drew enjoyed getting to know this lady (while I got to follow J around because he just HAD to explore the whole place, several times), who also happened to have an awesome costume.
I finally got all the edges on the pages I've been putting together (not all the pages, just the finished ones. I still have a bunch of pages that need to be put together, but I need a rest from all the cutting and gluing, and sewing, so the other pages will end up being for birthday or Christmas). Tomorrow will be the cover, and (hopefully) assembly of the entire book!
