Drew did everything in this costume himself. I was very impressed with how it turned out. He put many hours and many late nights into this. and learned some fun skills (like fiberglassing) in the process. Go husband! good for you!
J has been trying so hard to help me with stuff around the house recently (it's quite cute, honestly) and as part of it, wants so badly to climb on to the dishwasher to get more stuff. Unfortunately, our dishwasher is super front heavy, and for some reason, we haven't thought about strapping it to the wall like all our other top heavy things. this was the mess it made when he successfully climbed on to the dishwasher door and knocked it over on himself.
Today was a Halloween celebration at a local shopping center, so we decided to go because all the stuff we had gotten about it made it seem like it would be quite fun, and very family friendly (which overall, it was...family friendly that is. fun? not so much. it was rather a let down, honestly). We walked over, and saw some beautiful fall leaves on the way.
This apple had been sitting on top of the dishwasher, where J had not been able to reach before. I had been busy making dinner, and knew that J had been in and out of the kitchen, but not keeping a super close eye on him (just enough to make sure he was staying safe). I heard a crunching noise, turned around, and there he was sitting on the floor eating an apple.
J has started to get into books he isn't supposed to and tearing them up. It's been rather frustrating. We're going to be getting some shelves to put them up way high where he can't reach them, and was getting a picture of color options (along with a bunch of pictures of prices, but those aren't nearly as exciting..
While listening to conference this weekend, I've been taking the opportunity to work more on the quiet book I've been making for J. I've also come to realize I really won't be able to make much progress on this without a working sewing machine, and more Pellon on which to actually make the pages. because of that, my enthusiasm took a downturn, and I was pretty much done after Sunday morning.
