We had a guest pass to try out Sam's Club, so being a diaper buying week, we decided to try it out and see how the prices were. Prices on some things were great, prices on diapers were terrible (almost twice as expensive as at Walmart), however we had to get them since we had 2 or 3 diapers left at home. Overall, sort of impressed, and will consider it more.
We have a sandy spot in an empty lot (and spilling onto the sidewalk) near our house. J has been asking to go to the beach, so we made a compromise and went to this sandy spot to dig and play for a while this morning instead.
Since we've moved to Utah, I've been missing our weekly game night with friends in Rigby. The Godfrey's came down, and Jason came up from Orem with a friend, and we had a lot of fun. It was such a great night
We went to a different park today, just to check it out. It wasn't our favorite, but, it wasn't bad. They had this cool climbing wall like thing, complete with a rope to help you climb up. They had another actual "rock" wall to climb, with holes in it, so we mostly just used that one to play around and through. And, of course, J just had to wear a cape. It was pretty awesome, and we had a lot of fun.
J has been really into taking pictures of part of something (part of book covers, part of the couch, part of this fire truck) then eventually taking enough parts of it to make the whole thing when patched together. It's been interesting to see the results
At our new favorite park next door to the library is a merry go round. While I was a bit surprised to see one (didn't they get banned or something a while ago because of too many injuries?) I was happy to have the chance to share it with J. It's become one of his favorite parts of the park.
I'm helping to test out a pattern that my friend is developing. It certainly isn't a beginner pattern, that's for sure. This picture (the only one taken today) was to ask a question about it (come to find out I was trying to attach the pieces upside down... oops!).
Much to J's chagrin, I've volunteered to test out a skirt pattern that a friend is developing for a magazine. I was having trouble with her pieces matching up, and unfortunately, pictures of troubleshooting were all that got taken today. This is pattern pieces matching up according to where they should match vs. where her grid lines show they should match up.
