I will come to the Romney building daily, and wait for Drew to get done with his chem class before sending him off to work (and me to my class), or going together up to our next class. Today, while basking in the sunshine (and getting my daily allotment of Vit. D, or so I tell myself), i saw these beautiful roses staring to come out. i'm glad it is finally warm enough for roses to be comming
We got some fabric to make japanese hangings with, and were experimenting last night with some watercolors and small pieces of the cloth. this is one of the paintings that Drew made (lets just say mine weren't presentable, and were quickly washed out).
this random error message showed up, after it decided to freak out on me, as it has before, and i had to do a hard shut down/restart. i'm still not sure what it meant, but after i did another hard shutdown/restart, it worked fine
It was hot and sunny all day, and then these clouds came, and threatened rain. i was hoping it would, so i could dance and play in it. unfortunately, the rain came after i was inside at work, and was finished when i went home.
We went on a bike ride tonight for FHE, to get some pictures. we want to make cool Japanese wall hangings, but needed some picture ideas for them. i happened to get this rare picture while we were out and about.
After spending 2.5 hours in class on thursday and not getting anything accomplished on my shirt, i went to the sewing lab today to get some done. I think I got what I was working on Thursday done in about half an hour, if that.
I rode to walmart today, and noticed a path down the river I had never noticed before. Sadly, it only went halfway down the side of Albertsons before comming to a dead end (on the other side of the river it went a lot farther, and I was much more satisfied). I considered taking a picture of the dead end, but thought this was a lot more pretty.
We found our plot and went and planted. I think we pulled out more old dead corn (it used to be a corn field) and big ol'e rocks than I knew what to do with. we are both really super excited to have a garden planted and growing.
As I was biking in the nature park today, I saw this mother duck and her little ducklings swimming around. I've seen them before, but didn't have my camera with me. I was excited to get them this go round.
I was out reading today, and saw this little guy digging around in the trash. He would hide there when someone would walk by, or when he thought I was watching him too close. In the end, he ended up going in and rooting around some. I expected to see him come out with some half eaten something from students previous. When he did pop out, he had a big red juicy apple in his paws, and was happily eating it.
Because today was National Doughnut day, a gal at work brought us in a dozen doughnuts. She had some extras, so I asked if i could take this back home to my amazing husband. she was kind enough to agree.
As I was walking into work today, the drum line was out practicing, right in front of work. If i had not been running late for work, I would have gone back and taken a better picture. but this will have to do for now.
