We had a smoothie for a snack this afternoon. J thoroughly enjoyed it (this was after wiping some off of him already, specifically on his shoulder and hands)
We went to Craters of the Moon National Park with Mom, Dad, and Rachel today. I Loved getting out and seeing a national park and somewhere new. J enjoyed being out in nature and some running around. It was an awesome place and I'm glad I got to go. I just wish we would have had more time to look around.
We went to Bever dick today to unofficially reserve a camping spot for family coming up. We enjoyed playing in the river that runs right next to it for a little while.
We picked up a puzzle type thing at the dollar store. Tonight, J's choice of entertainment for a while was to have me build them into cubes, then fill them with things (like the ball and shapes from the shape box) so that he could step on them and have it all come exploding apart. Since the puzzle is made out of foam, and was likely to retain much if any damage, I decided to go along with it for a while. :) We had a lot of fun
With J's birthday coming up, I'm trying to make a few more quiet book pages for him. I traced and colored these tonight. I'll finish doing Velcro and buttons on them another day.
We've been working on this project for a while, and wanting to get it done. This was originally a card holder at our wedding, and we've been wanting, ever since, to turn it into an actual usable lantern. I painted it a few months ago, and today, Drew put a light in it, and put some nice paper in it to make it look fun :)
Many years ago, Rigby brought their tank and drove it down Main Street for the parade. I've been watching for it ever since, and it's never shown up. This was the coolest this year. :)
