Worms!!

We've been helping clear out some grass from my parents garden, and have been coming across a lot of worms. J LOVES to look at them, and will pick them up long enough to put them back in the dirt :)

Memorial day adventures

 We went for a bike ride this morning to the nature park. We enjoyed wandering around and exploring the trails, and seeing the animals.

 

Fledging bird

We went on a walk this morning and found this baby bird. It apparently just fledged, because it couldn't/wouldn't fly away. The momma bird wasn't super happy about us being that close to it, but we decided to leave after getting a couple pictures of it. J was quite upset I wouldn't let him touch it, but I decided not to push our luck with the momma bird. 

Nature Park

We biked to the nature park today, and J had a blast looking at the ducks and wandering all over the trails. It was a lot of fun.

our library has several fish tanks that J loves to look at, but this one is a new addition. the fish in it are huge, and really fun to look at :)

Turtles and fall leaves

We went for a random excursion to the nature park today. J loved the change of scenery, loved riding in the bike trailer, and loved having a different playground to play on. 

Making friends

We had family in town, and went to visit other family up in Ashton to celebrate. They happen to have dogs, which J found absolutely facinating

We had a great time, though there wasn't as much to do as advertised besides the petting zoo, and even then, J was only interested in looking at the animals, and not touching them. The camel was fun. A lot bigger than I thought it would be in person.

Pollination

I've always wanted to get a shot of a bee, going about it's business pollinating flowers, but have never been so lucky. Until today.

Looking In

I might have mentioned this before, but we have an alleyway full of pigeons. We generally try to shoot them away (using air soft guns). Because it got cold last night, the windows happened to be closed, and this lucky bird got a picture taken, instead of being shot at.

This cute little guy kept running around while I was waiting outside for Drew to join me for lunch

Ducks

I went out with some old bread and fed the (already really fat and overfed) ducks today. I really liked how this one looked, all mottled brown.
