Trains!

J LOVED pulling out and playing with the trains this afternoon. He does frequently enjoy it, but not like today.

After dinner entertainment

While out on the playground today, J informed me that the holes in the structure were "emojies" I have no idea where he even heard the term, nor even if he knows what they really are. It was pretty funny. I kept trying to call them holes, and he was very insistent that no, mom, they are emojies.

after quiet time J insisted on bringing out all the blankets (and pillows) to spread out all over the living room floor. And he proceeded to cuddle and roll all over them. It was pretty cute!

Moving in party

Since we have a lot of family in town today, and are finally in a place we feel okay really inviting people over, we had family here for dinner tonight. We had a blast. Amy Sue happened to bring her computer to get help with it, and so we spent a while after dinner looking at old pictures. Man.... That was a lot of fun.

Needed to take a picture of the outlet for the dryer my awesome Mother in law is bringing down for us, to make sure the right plug was attached.

of course it doesn't do it justice, but we had a beautiful sunrise this morning.

We were outside for a while this morning, and J took the camera from me and started taking pictures of the neighbours. They were, unfortunately, the only pictures taken today

Today, we did something similar for the kitchen layout.

We've gotten to a point in unpacking to start hanging pictures. I took several today to get opinions on layouts when Drew got up this morning. This is the one we decided on for the front room. 

Pricing

We've been considering a hand towel hanger to put by our sink (which is across the room from where the towels are). So I priced them out while at the store today. this is apparently the only picture that got taken today. 

Outside :)

One thing we've been loving about our new house is the playground, right outside. J loves being able to go out frequently. I've also been loving the trees right outside our house. It's been so awesome to actually have a friendly and inviting outside, outside our windows! :D 

Front room

J's room.

Jacob's room is probably the first to really be set up. We wanted to make sure he was able to feel comfortable in his room as soon as possible, so we made sure it was done quickly. He's been loving having his own space to play, and transitioned to sleeping by himself with no problems. I was expecting at least a couple days of complaints, and probably sleeping in our room, but it hasn't happened. So yay for that!

New couch!

We ended up not bringing a couch with us from Rexburg, so we didn't have one after moving. So we went to the local thrift store, and found this awesome couch for quite the steal, along with some other furniture.
