Reunion!

Since we've moved to Utah, I've been missing our weekly game night with friends in Rigby. The Godfrey's came down, and Jason came up from Orem with a friend, and we had a lot of fun. It was such a great night

At the church history museum

I went to the church history museum tonight with the Relief Society in my parents ward. They had this cool interactive screen (which is huge!)You can touch the screen to see facts about different areas during different times of the restoration of the church, and you can try and navigate a ship across the ocean without running into any rocks or being blown off course or anything (which I wasn't able to do - my ship crashed on a rock halfway across) It was so awesome! 

Helping

J and our  friend Erin were making some frosting for some brownies. It was super tasty, and J enjoyed the chance to help out in the kitchen.

it's a poor picture of it, because we were putting it away when we remembered to take a picture, but it's a fun game, of intrigue and betrayal. 

Date Night

A good friend sent us a visa gift card in the mail for Christmas. We had a conversation that went something like this
Drew: So, should we buy test strips for it? Maybe pay rent?
Me: Well, I guess we could be responsible with it. Or I was thinking we could be not so responsible with it and use it to go see the new Star Wars.
Drew: I like your idea better. Lets do that.

So we had a much needed date night. and it was great. 

At a dinner party

We had a dinner party with some friends from the ward. Predictably, J didn't eat (I mean, who wants to eat dinner when there's a cat around and star wars movies?), and discovered that they had the Star Wars movies. So he asked to watch while we finished eating and played a game or two. 

Game night

I don't remember the name of the game, but it's super fun. You're a bandit, robbing a train. Trying to escape capture and of course end up with the most loot. 

At a baby shower

I went to a friend's baby shower. She's having a girl. They had this adorable fruit bowl there. I loved the idea, so I wanted to take a picture. 

Fire search and rescue

Super fun co-op game. I'd recommend this one for pretty much anyone. It can take a while, but it's worth it. 

Kill the Giant

I don't remember the actual name of this game, but it was a lot of fun. We killed off giants, and got victory points based on how well we did. It was pretty fun.

We had a back to school cookout today with some friends. J enjoyed trying to help Logan roasting "Marhhmowows" and eating "dot dogs" :)

Play date with friends

Blury, but the only picture that got taken today. We went to a friends house for a playdate, and they all ended up wearing super fun hats. A picture just had to be taken :) 

CIT family barbeque

the CIT department had a barbeque tonight. Happy for J, some of our good friends also work in the CIT department at the school. J had fun running through the water and going on the carousel, just generally spending some time outside. It was a lot of fun. 

Playing with K

J's best friend, K, moved today. His parents needed a little more time to do some last minute cleaning and packing with less help, so he came to play for a while. They had a blast. I know that J didn't understand what was going on, but I was a bit teary-eyed when we said final goodbyes. They were some of my only friends in the ward, and it's sad to see them go.
