Own Personal Toolbox

J has LOVED whenever we dig out our tool box for anything, and has been begging for "J screwdriver? J hammer? J toolsbox?" And so he was so excited to open up this present of tools.

Selfie

Wandering the living room of Grandma Speight's house during the Christmas program got a bit long for J, so he started to take pictures. He happened to fall and take this selfie at the same time. :) It turned out pretty good, considering he was falling.

Date Night

A good friend sent us a visa gift card in the mail for Christmas. We had a conversation that went something like this
Drew: So, should we buy test strips for it? Maybe pay rent?
Me: Well, I guess we could be responsible with it. Or I was thinking we could be not so responsible with it and use it to go see the new Star Wars.
Drew: I like your idea better. Lets do that.

So we had a much needed date night. and it was great.

Christmas Decorations 3

Last Christmas decorations picture. We had two more pine cones that didn't fit anywhere else, so we hung them on the wall behind the TV. It made it feel just a bit more festive.

My parents sent us a kid friendly natvity, made out of blocks. I love it, and J seems to enjoy looking at them too.

Christmas Decorations

I've seen this idea of making some fun paint and glitter covered pine cones, and been wanting to try it for a while. We finally came upon some paint, and had some time to try it. They turned out really well, and I'm excited to use them. Some of them will just sit out in a bowl, and some will go with a garland around our kitchen entryway. I'm excited to see how they turn out :)

advent calender of my own making

the only problem with it, is that Mary and Joseph can't actually make their way to the stable yet. The Velcro on the back almost came all the way off after moving it just once. I need to put it on again, on a day when I have more time.
