blurry piano

I was trying to get some pictures of both J and I while practicing, and all of them were blurry. This was the least blurry of the lot, and no other pictures got taken today.

Music on a stand

We went up to the Snow building on campus tonight to practice a song I'll be doing in sacrament meeting later this month. J kept taking my music off the piano and putting it on this stand. A few times later, I helped him to plunk out Twinkle Twinkle, and he seemed a lot happier after that :)

Keyboard

One of the things that Mom Baker and Shannon dropped off to us was this great keyboard. I've been wanting something to be able to practice for church, in case I forget until midnight. This will work great for those instances, and maybe I'll be able to take up tinkering around learning new songs again. Won't that be fun?

Ukulele

J actually eventually brought all of these items home, but he was most enthralled by the ukulele. yay for musical interest!

I've been working on memorizing this beautiful song. i have the first two, and nearly first three of nine pages done.

New Calling, again

So, for the new YSA ward, I have, once again, been called to play the piano. this time, i also have the choice of doing organ. I am the ward Organist/Pianest, who gets to play in sacrament meeting, and also it sounds like i've been unofficially asked to play for the ward choir.

Primary Sunday

Today at stadium singing we sang primary songs. It was a lot of fun. My roommate, since she is a recent convert, didn't know many of them, so it was fun to teach them to her, and see her looks of us all being crazy while we were singing some of them :).

also, in Wilderness First Aid, we were learning CPR. we learned that we need to do our 30 compressions to the beat of this song. Maybe this will help one day when any of y'all need to do CPR :)
addtionally, we were walking back from devotional today, and saw this backpack. it made us laugh.

Hymns

We went to Spanish stadium singing tonight. I've never been (I don't speak any Spanish, why would I go?) but my roommate wanted to go. We sang this song, and apparently I was able to pull off a Spanish accent well. Also, Here is a good video. A friend has been having a hard time recently, and found this. Hope it helps anyone else who is having a hard time.

I was walking around the Snow building, and they have down all the halls all sorts of interesting things hanging on the walls. I particularly enjoyed this one.

Organ Recital

I know y'all are tired of seeing pictures of organs and organ related stuff. But this was the last recital for the semester, so y'all probably wont see any more again. Unless I go sometime next seemster to some stuff, just to relesh the memories. The possibliites are slim though.
