a collection of mice

Drew has always had quite the collection of mice. I didn't realize that so many of them had come out of storage while living at my parents house until I was picking them all up to do some vacuuming and packing. 

Discovery kits

I saw this discovery kit at the library today, and was immediately reminded of this YouTube video.

Drew has a spare desktop that he's been wanting to sell. He took pictures today of the parts to be able to make an ad for it. 

Computer matching

J has been enjoying doing matching games at the library. He's also been getting a lot better at using the mouse to do it. It's been a lot of fun to watch.

The library had this sweet display up. The car on it actually goes around the track, which was cool. J LOVED looking at it, and was really sad when I said we had to go home. 

For sale

Drew found some.... optical cards? at surplus a couple days ago. He decided to sell them, and their excess parts. The pictures of that was all that was taken today.

J LOVES to play on mom's computer. we've started to hook up a separate keyboard for him to do his banging and "typing" and drooling all over, because keyboards are a whole lot less expensive than laptops are.

Serial Number

So Drew got this fancy new video card for Christmas (I know, it isn't Christmas yet. but he ended up coming home from Thanksgiving without a video card, so he needed one for his computer.) It had a mail-in rebate, and he needed a serial number for it. he was looking all over for the right serial number, including on his video card. he needed to take this picture so he could see and read the numbers, and figure out if they were the right number. none of them were. it ended up being on a box I had rescued from the garbage for use in wrapping Christmas presents, luckily. these were the only pictures that ended up being taken today.

Drew was super proud of the work he did building his sister's computer, and how clean it was inside. He took a few pictures to show off to people at work. They also happened to be the only pictures taken today

nectar of the Gods

When I was first given this stuff at the ER, the person that gave it to me said his wife called it "nectar of the Gods" and I pretty much agree.  Good bye most of the morning sickness and vomiting, hello eating things that I would like to eat (though certain smells still get to me, and (not sure why) the first time I walk in the kitchen every morning will start me heaving)!

New computer!

after so long and patiently waiting, my computer has finally come.  UPS had lost the other one, so we got to order a brand new one. and it works wonderfully, without the battery falling out, and the battery actually charges!

We Got the car back!

and the best thing is that it works, and wont explode on us in about three different possible ways...

Error message

this random error message showed up, after it decided to freak out on me, as it has before, and i had to do a hard shut down/restart. i'm still not sure what it meant, but after i did another hard shutdown/restart, it worked fine
