some people were just sitting outside of the testing center this afternoon. they were giving all the test takers (and us) cookies, and they decorated our door.

it felt like it was a million degrees today at work. I drank about 1.5 of these to try and keep cool.

Ropes Course

I spent two class periods up here today (from 8-11:30). The first hour and a half was spent on the low elements, and the second hour and a half was spent on the high elements. It was super fun.

I had a rough day today. I walked past this place three times, and all three times, I almost stopped in to get something to eat, even though I had no appetite. Instead, I listened to this song and listened to this one to turn it around.

Experiential Activity

I figured you were tired of flower pictures, so here's a different shot for the day. For a class, I have to facilitate 10 hours worth of "experiential activities" in other words, activities that teach things as we do them. in this one, they were learning leadership, and team work. Don't they look so happy while doing it?

So, I was walking down the stairs for something, and came about a foot within stepping on this guy before I realized he was there. Poor guy, I think I almost gave him a heart-attack. Sadly, I didn't have a camera then, so I ran quickly back to the apartment (which is, thankfully, close to the stairs), and grabbed it, then grabbed this shot. :)

also, I've been obsessing over this song today. I think I may have obsessed over it in the past, but it is so beautiful, it is easy to do.

Worms

its been raining all day today, so there are worms everywhere. i kept wanting to take a picture of them, but i never had my camera with me. i eventually just picked them up and took them home with me to take the picture. my roommates thought it was disgusting. one of them eventually got up the courage to pet one of them, but the other didn't even want to look at them. it amused me greatly.

Moving Spine Injured People

again, for a class, we learned how to move a spine injured people out in the wilderness, using just stuff we would have if we were camping.
i promise i will try my hardest not to have class related pictures the next few days. It might be hard, since we are doing a class weekend trip, but i will try my hardest

Inspiration (hopefully)

for class, we went to the wellness center with Vaseline on a pair of sunglasses to teach us how a person with cataracts might feel. we were supposed to sign up for the pedometer challenge. hopefully this will now have an added benefit of inspiring me to go on nightly walks.

quilting

i recently found a couple shirts that are getting holes in them. along with some leftover fabric from various sewing projects, i have been thinking about trying quilting. i know my sister enjoys it a lot, and does it quite a bit, but i've never tired it. i might yet try it with some of this fabric. this was inspiring for me.
