Miserable saturday

This is one of the worst Satuday's I've ever had, in terms of PR at work.  a total of 6 completes, for the whole 4 hour shift. this is sure to reflect horribly on my week's totals.

High in the sky

I was impressed to see this rather sizable kite flying quite high in the sky. especially since while i was out, there wasn't much of a breeze to speak of.

Impromptu fire

We were gathering our camping stuff from our friends today, and pulled out our mini barbecue. someone else pulled out charcoal, and  we had some impromptu smore's. 

Purple Lights

We were riding around, looking for more bottles for the recycled bottle regatta, and noticed that the lights on the Taylor building were Purple, not the typical white.  It made for a fun ride by.

New Planters

I saw these new planters on the way to Drew's work. I was glad to see some flowers along this mostly cement walkway.

LED flowers

I saw these solar path liners, and really liked them.  Instead of the typical path lights, they are flower shaped! even better, they change colors. Blue, green and red

In a parking space

I thought it was kind of amusing to ride by and notice that it isn't a car in a parking spot, it is, indeed, a swimming pool.

Dragon's Mouth Spring

It does actually sound like a dragon could be living in there, it's rather cool.  Some dad was teasing his kid about not seeing the dragon.
"Did you see the dragon?"
"No, was it real?"
"Yep, I got a picture of it"
"Dad!!  We HAVE to go back! Come on Dad!  Dad! Dad! Come on Dad!"

finished!

this is the finished new bag. it looks like it should even be big enough to hold the tarp for underneath (whenever we actually get it). i'll also need to add the carrying handle at some point, but for now, i'm pleased with the finished product :)

our tent bag is falling apart, and way too small to hold the tent once it has been unrolled and used even once. i'm going to take this old pair of pants and old tent bag and turn it into something new. 

Sleeping Bag

late last night we we realized we needed to get some stuff at the store that we had forgotten, so we ran to Walmart. we also realized we needed a sleeping bag for an upcoming camping trip we are going to be taking with some friends.  isn't Walmart great for having some food, and sleeping bags too?

Gilly Suit

Drew had been going airsofting recently, and has decided to turn his paintball helmet into a gilly suit.  it makes me laugh every time :)

Bird Feeder

I found this bird feeder outside one of the buildings on campus.  I didn't remember it being there before.  

Outside the Library

after bringing Drew his bike lock, I decided to spend some time just enjoying the outside, and sitting next to these wonderful flowers outside his work.
