I went to mop the floor, and discovered the sponge on it had broken nearly in half.

Quarters

We discovered we were one quarter short of having enough to do all our wash... so we had to go pick some up. This should be enough to last us a while

Harry Potter

I spent a better part of the day (unrealized by me) finishing up the last Harry Potter book.  I had a goal to finish them all this fall break, and it looks like it worked!

This didn't turn out as well as I thought it did, but there are lights all up and down Main street, its quite festive.

We got a package tonight from Grandma Johnson.  It made under our tree look not quite so lonely. (in fact, we had to pile things up, and then stick the tree on top :))

the Lovesee's

We got to see some really good friends get married today, for time and all eternity.  it was such a happy day for all involved.

Blender

We inherited a blender from a friend. it doesn't have any lid, but it will be nice to have a blender :)

Cinnamon Rolls

I've been craving making these for a good long while, but it never happened for various reasons. i was excited when it happened today :)

Bamboo

at one point, these vases had some branches in them.  as good as they looked, they got caught on a lot of things, and kept pulling it over, so we eventually had to take them out. the other night, at the dollar store, we saw some bamboo, and decided it would go well with it. it seems to go quite well :)

Temple on the hill

This is taken from the parking lot of our church building (which is connected to the parking lot of the temple).  It seemed a lot better when I took it than now.

Pretzels for lunch

There's a fresh pretzel shop not too far from home.  sometimes on a Saturday when we are particularly busy, and need to stop for lunch, we'll stop here.  Drew had an amazing pizza flavored one, and i had an equally amazing apple cinnamon one.  I'm not sure how they got the apple flavor in there (it wasn't in the dough, and it wasn't in the cinnamon), but i absolutely loved it! 

Candy Coated Peanuts

this is one of the few splurge items we got at Winco.  they are absolutely amazing.  We might not go back to winco for a while, just because this is the time of year they have them there... This is all that's left after getting quite a bit of it yesterday. 

Tangerines

we went to winco tonight, to get a few things. we saw the tangerines sitting there (actually, a friend who went with us got a bag, and it made me want to get one).  with such a good deal on them ($2 for a 5lb. bag....) we decided to go ahead and get some. they taste amazing :)

Warm feet

I have always had problems in winter with cold feet (and hands).  I've discovered that if I lay (or sit) just so on the couch, covered in a blanket, it catches the heat really well, and keeps my feet nice and warm (even more so if I have on socks) :)

PSA

This is actually quite a problem around the campus and single housing.  I just wish that the police were better at catching it (just like i wish they were better at watching some of the cross walks to and from campus, where you can wait five minutes before a sympathetic driver will stop for you).

Water park

This is the Water Park here in rexburg.  its closed 2/3 of the year.  i'm not sure how it will stay in business.... it just opened this summer, but didn't seem that popular (driving by it, it looked really small, with not much to it). we'll see how it does.

Socks

Unfortunately, I didn't take any other pictures today.  We had been planning on going down to Salt Lake this weekend.  However, because of different circumstances, we didn't make it down.  I had been planning on getting some socks (just like these), but instead, will have my parents get some, and get them to me when we go down for Christmas.

Ice Cream Shops

okay, so technically, this is frozen yogurt, But i've always wondered how ice cream shops (who deal in only ice cream) can stay open during the winter months, especially here in Rexburg.  it just doesn't seem possible to me.  but they've been around for a good long while, so i guess they must do well enough.

Painting

We got some paint from Drew's family, and so we spent some time today painting.  It ended up pretty well (this is just one coat on the end, so no, it isn't partially blue).
