We were given a started for some Amish Friendship bread. All told, I love the bread itself, but I hate being given a starter, or giving it to anyone (because then it eventually makes it back to me... and I have to take care of it again). this time, we decided to try and make it all up (using the starters you should give away as the base for the loaves). we got nearly all the way done with it all before we had to go to work. It was a lot of bread (most of which ended up in the freezer).

I've occasionally wondered about not giving away starters, but was never sure what to do with them instead. How well did it freeze? (PS- my CAPTCHA tonight is "plent"- maybe sort of like Plent-y of bread from one recipe?)
:) I like your CAPTCHA. There certainly was plenty of bread. It freezes pretty well. We actually had some thawed out friendship bread at a friend's house, and it gave us the idea to freeze a bunch. It seems to have worked pretty well.
